"Bugging out and loving it"

Films: Phenomena (1985)

Alias: None

Type: Mystical

Location: Civilized area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Good

Summary: FINALLY!!! A Carrie look-alike who doesn't indulge in the suffering of everyone. Sure, she has slightly creepier powers, but compared to those before and after her, she's an angel.

History: For some time, Jennifer Corvino has been suspicious of a couple disappearing around the Swiss lands. The bad news is that there's a psychotic killer on the loose known as Frau Brukner, a madwoman who claims that everyone is out to get her secret deformed son. The good news is that she has a special ability to communicate with the insect world. Through this, she may be able to track Brukner down through the maggots that keep infesting the bodies.

Notable Kills: Summons a swarm of flies to help off Brukner's mad son.

Final Fate: Admittingly, Jennifer's powers can only help her for so long after Brukner's identity is revealed. But thankfully, her chimp friend Inga arrives just in time to slash the killer to death with a razor. The day is officially saved by a bug telepath and an ape! This has been a weird day.

Powers/Abilities: Jennifer can communicate with insects, particularly flies.

Weakness: Without proper experience, Jennifer's powers can manifest without her consent, and leave her winded.

Scariness Factor: 1.5-Those who are afraid of bugs may have a hard time with her, but Jennifer is as innocent as they come! Given time, she could use her slightly unnerving powers for even greater good. Also, it takes some nerve to be able to befriend a chimp, as nature would let you know.

Trivia: Jennifer was played by Jennifer Connelly (I see what they did there), in her first starring role. She's appeared on lists of "most beautiful women" in her life. In fact, Princess Jasmine from Disney's "Aladdin" was modeled specifically after her.

-The film can be seen as a hyper-critical social commentary on how we perceive people with apparent disabilities, seeing how many characters try to classify and dehumanize Jennifer in some way.

Even the ones in the Heavens are mystifying you.

"WHERE'S MY CRACK?!"
Does she know that her friends practically own the world by population comparison to ours?

Bees. My God.

Ugh. Even the posters are demonizing her now. Give her a break!
There is no ugliness as long as there is good in you.

You'll never be alone. Never, sweet Jennifer.

Meet the true star the show...out of billions.
